Upon booking, 25% of the total rental amount will be charged, with the remaining amount due upon arrival and check-in, EXCEPT FOR HOLIDAY DATES we will be reaching out to you within 1 week prior to your departure date to charge the remaining 75% of your booking total to your card on file.

The lessee will be required to leave a credit card authorization and/or deposit at Cedar Grove Marine, LLC shipstore until rental boat has been timely returned and checked out by Cedar Grove Marine, LLC management.  The authorization will be released and/or the deposit will be refunded upon successful check in

CANCELLATION POLICY (EFFECTIVE 4/1/2024)            

Recreational boats/watercrafts: ALL cancellations must be emailed to [email protected] a minimum of 72 hours prior to the reservation start date/time to receive a refund of the 25% deposit.

Houseboats:  ALL cancellations must be emailed to [email protected] and refunds/charges will be assessed as follows:

Cancellation emailed a minimum of 60 days prior to the reservation date/time will receive a refund of the 25% deposit.

Any houseboat cancellation less than 60 days prior to the reservation date will forfeit their 25% deposit ($500 minimum).

Any houseboat cancellation less than 30 days prior to the reservation date will forfeit the 25% deposit AND be charged the full rental fee should Cedar Grove be unable to rent the boat for the cancelled days.

Cancellation policy for all HOUSEBOATS:
1) Cancellation prior to 60 days of departure date: The general refund policy allows for a 60-day notice of cancellation before the reserved departure date.  If the lessee cancels prior to 60 days from the departure date then there will be a refund of the deposit paid less a $150 transaction fee.
2) Cancellation of reservation within 60 days of departure date:  If the lessee cancels after the 60-day deadline they will not be eligible (No Refund) of the deposit paid.
3) Cancelation of bookings made for Holiday weekends: There will be NO refunds of deposits for cancelations made to bookings scheduled over major holiday weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day) regardless of when you cancel.


What you will find onboard:

Generator, central heat/air, TV, DVD, VCR, AM/FM CD player (iPod/MP-3 hookup) with speakers on all areas of the boat, gas grill with full propane tank, grilling tools, smooth top range, full-size utensils, cookware, place settings for 14, pillows and sheets, (life jackets for emergency use only), water slide, hot tub, lounge chairs for sunbathing, bar and bar stools on top deck, patio furniture on front deck for outdoor dining, furniture on back deck for your leisure, and two large ice chests.

What to Bring:

Bath towels and wash cloths, beach towels, blankets, life jackets for swimming or other water sports, DVD’s, CD’s, cards, your favorite board games, dishwashing liquid and dishwasher detergent, paper towels, toilet paper (1-ply), garbage bags, soaps, paper/plastic cups, plates, and cutlery.

Departure:

Before departure, full payment of rental fee must be made with either cash, cashier’s check, money order, or Visa or Mastercard.  Personal checks are accepted if they are received thirty days prior to your vacation period.  Your deposit cannot be used to pay rental fee, as it becomes a damage deposit and will be held until the boat is returned in a safe and undamaged condition.  You will be given a general briefing of the houseboat by a staff member and driven out of the harbor area.  The houseboat is set up for 14 individuals; exceeding this number may justify additional charges by Cedar Grove Marine & Campground LLC.

Returning:

Upon your return, the houseboat, and if applicable, the secondary boat, will be inspected for damage and refueled.  Provided the rentals are returned in a clean and undamaged condition, we will gladly return your full deposit within 7 to 10 business days.  During check out, you will only be responsible for the fuel used during your trip, provided there are no damages, etc.

Policies and Regulations:

There is a $150 cancellation fee on your reservation for any cancelations prior to 60 days of departure.  No refunds will be given on cancellations made within 60 days prior to departure.

Renter must be at least 21 years of age.

No smoking is permitted inside the houseboat; however, guests may smoke on outside areas of houseboat, on top, front, and rear.  If you or your guests choose to smoke, please take care to not burn holes in the carpet, etc.  Additional fees will be charged for any damage from smoking and/or the smell of smoke on the interior.

No pets allowed.

Renters are required to have a secondary boat with each houseboat rental for the safety of your party.

Renter must be checked in by your specified time (located on your Rental Confirmation Letter), and ready to depart within one-hour time.  If you are unable to depart within this designated time frame, please notify staff immediately.  Depending on weather and time of year, if you and your party are not ready to depart by 4:00 pm, the houseboat may have to stay in the harbor overnight and depart the following morning.  It is extremely important to depart and return at your specified time so our staff may prepare the houseboat for our next guests.  Please note, late fees may apply otherwise.

Carrying on or storing on board any flammable liquids is not allowed by order of the State Fire Marshall.

In the event of breakdown or other mechanical issue, staff will provide assistance as quickly as possible.

Renters are responsible for any damage to the houseboat and/or its contents.
